Colin Olson

Structural Engineer, Project Engineer
In 2018 Colin graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville and holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering with a structural emphasis. Colin had three internships with WisDOT and one internship and co-op with Ayres Associates. These positions were within construction oversight and bridge inspection. After graduation, he started with Knight Engineers and Architects, where he did mostly bridge and culvert rehab/replacement. In his position here at Jewell, he does bridge design, bridge inspection, and bridge plan review.
Colin is from La Crosse, WI and bought the house he grew up in from his parents.
A fun fact about Colin is that he took a scuba diving class in college, which led to his underwater bridge inspection co-op and got him interested in bridges. He also lives next door to his grandparents who have a house on the river, but he is terrible at fishing!
