Professional Land Surveyor
We are currently seeking a full-time Professional Land Surveyor. We are looking for a registered surveyor to efficiently and effectively collaborate with our design staff on transportation, municipal, development and architectural projects. This person will conduct land records research in addition to collect, compute and process field data for the following: boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM, right of way plats, transportation project plats, subdivision plats, certified survey maps and design survey information. Supervision of construction staking and proper monumentation is also a function of this position. This person will assist in the preparation of proposals and cost estimates.

Transportation Design Project Manager
We are currently seeking one full-time Transportation Design Project Manager. A successful candidate will have licensure as a Wisconsin Professional Engineer and have relevant experience designing Wisconsin State, County, Municipal and Township transportation infrastructures. Project experience should include the familiarity with the WisDOT and local program process including experience with working on the design of highway roadways, reconditioning of existing highways, intersections and roundabouts, construction staging, erosion control and storm water management as it is related to highways, bridge approaches, right of way, and construction. Additionally, a proven proficiency with utility and agency coordination as well as creating project reports including environmental and design study reports is required.

Transportation Construction Leader/Inspector
We are currently seeking a full-time Construction Leader/Inspector to work as a construction leader/inspector of roadway, bridge and miscellaneous transportation and municipal projects with occasional duties in the office as a designer for transportation and municipal projects. This person must have completed a BS in Civil Engineering and be on the path to licensure, if not already a licensed Wisconsin Professional Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction inspection of bridges, roadways and municipal projects and the ability to assist with the design of transportation and/or municipal infrastructure projects, outside of the construction season. Project experience should include the construction of new highway roadways, reconditioning of existing highways, intersections and roundabouts, construction staging, erosion control and storm water management as it is related to highways, bridge approaches, right of way, and construction. A proven proficiency with agency and utility coordination and the ability to work with the public is a must.

Civil Engineer Group Leader
We are currently seeking a full-time Civil Engineering Group Leader with management experience to direct and lead a group of civil engineering project managers. This individual will have the responsibility to manage and market growth of public and private civil engineering projects. One position is available in our Spring Green office or in our Madison office.
Jewell works with clients to design a broad range of civil/site projects. We are looking for a seasoned professional engineer with excellent communication skills and problem-solving engineering experience and judgment to lead this effort. This person will be engaged in the marketing and planning of engineering projects, project design and construction management for a variety of civil/site projects. This work will include design engineering and construction observation for street and roadway construction, site development, storm water management and site grading and erosion control. The position will also provide general municipal consulting.
Required Experience
BS in Civil Engineering and have current licensure as a Wisconsin Professional Engineer with the ability to obtain licensure in other states as needed

Environmental Coordinator
We are currently seeking one full-time Environmental Coordinator. The successful candidate will assess projects for environmental compliance across federal, state, and local standards. This position is central to conducting environmental reviews for projects funded by the Wisconsin DOT, other federal agencies, and other grant initiatives. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to support a team of engineering professionals to improve the built environment of our communities while protecting the natural ecosystem. We will consider candidates for this position in our Spring Green, Wisconsin Rapids, Madison, Eau Claire, or La Crosse offices. The nature of the collaborative work involved in this role may require occasional visits to our other offices.
Responsibilities Include:
Work with our Transportation Group to develop and manage standards and organization of reference material and templates for project oversight documents.
Working with our Transportation Engineers to prepare and submit all manner of transportation project oversight documents. (Environmental Documents, HMA, Agency Coordination, etc.)
Lead the documentation and conduct environmental reviews according to NEPA guidelines and other applicable regulations.
Review project proposals and plans to identify potential environmental impacts.
Track progress and deadlines of environmental reviews.
Maintain accurate and timely environmental review records.
Communicate environmental compliance updates during team meetings.
Wetland Delineation and Protected Species Surveys could also be included depending on the experience of the individual
Required Experience
Bachelorβs degree in Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field is required; a Masterβs degree is preferred.
Knowledge of NEPA regulations, Wisconsin DOT environmental review requirements, and other pertinent environmental laws.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with relevant software.
Excellent organizational ability, suited for both independent and collaborative work.
Self-starter with the desire and willingness to take the lead on a task.
Knowledge of local, state and federal agency environmental requirements and processes.
Ability to manage project requirements independently.

We are currently seeking a full-time or part-time bridge inspector. A successful candidate must be registered as a certified bridge inspector, with team leader status. Must have experience inspecting all structure configurations found in Wisconsin. This position will include responsibility for conducting and reporting regular bridge inspections for our County and Township clients.
