Michael Mertens

Structural Engineer
Michael Mertens is a skilled structural engineer with extensive experience in the design of industrial, commercial, and residential buildings for public and private sector clients. In addition, he provides structural engineering services for bridges, retaining walls, and other transportation structures in our work for counties, local governments and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
He is a certified Professional Engineer in Wisconsin and Indiana and is a Wisconsin Certified Bridge Inspector. He holds a Bachelor of Science in architectural engineering with a structural emphasis from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Michael and his wife Heather have two children, Elliott and Claire. They make their home in rural Spring Green.
Michael’s interests during leisure time include playing the guitar, running, cooking, reading and family outings to the Mertens family cabin near Fence, WI.
